Point Ordering Instructions
We have Integrated our title insurance processing systems and closing systems with
the Calyx Point loan origination software.
What's this mean for you, the Point User? Well, it means that you can order
title insurance and closings from us directly through the comfort of your familiar
LOS.
Want to get started? It's easy... If you are used to ordering from us through
our online system, then you already have a username and password that will work
with Point. If not, then you can easily request a preferred subscriber account by
going to our
New Customer Application Form
Directions to Order Title: Point allows you to electronically request title
reports from Point. This service is only available in Point version 5.4 or higher,
and you will need to make sure that you have
Point I-Update version 60 running to see the
Northwest Title
interface option.
- Open the Prospect or Borrower file.
- From the Menu bar, select Services > Title Reports > Request Title.
- In the Title Company section, select
Northwest Title
- In the Product Types section, select Title Commitment.
- In the Request Type section, select:
- Order New Title
- Check Status of Pending Order
- Update Existing Order
- Click Submit.
- Enter your User ID, and Password. (Existing Customers: this is the username and
password you are accustomed to using)
- Click OK.
- Now you will see:
- For New Title, you will receive a confirmation that the order has been placed.
- Status Query, you will get a status message. If the order is completed the title
report will be returned for you to view.
- Updates, you will receive a confirmation that the request has been received.
Checking Your Version of Point Software: To check your software version, while in Point,
select Help > About Point. In the lower left-hand corner of the screen is the
version of Point. (For instance: Point 6.0b Build 888.60).
If you do not see this version, please close Point and re-open. Please keep in mind
that it may take several tries to actually receive the update, depending on the
traffic.
